Instagram posts are mini-marketing campaigns - so it's a smart idea to work with Instagram like it’s a campaign in order to reap maximum benefit.
Distribution is where you basically spread your web – where you distribute your campaign. A post is just one distribution channel, for any campaign you want at least 3 channels.
How to do Instagram Distribution
Posting a Story of your latest Post
Directly after your post upload a Story with a key message of ‘new post’ and encourage your followers to view the post and click through to your latest content or website
Make an Instagram TV or Live Video the Day after
As mentioned earlier in the course, if you play nicely with the algorithm it plays nicely with you. The quickest hack to jump into the algorithm is to do a post + a story + Instagram TV.
If TV isn’t relevant for every post don’t do it but just say you’re posting about a new YouTube tutorial or even a website sale. You can and should 100% make a quick video with either you talking to the screen or have your designer make a short video for you.
Update Links in Your Linktree Bio to Point to Your New Website Offering
If you're creating content on Instagram, big chance is you have a business and a website. Part of the distribution of your Instagram content is also to link people to your business and vice versa.
Update the Copy in Your Bio
Depending on what business type you have another idea is to update a line of text in your bio - something like NewYoutube Tutorial Now Live
DM Your Active Followers Your Latest Post
This one is an algorithm hack but a good one - when you DM people and they click to your profile and like your latest post this boosts you up in the algorithm and directly impacts your chances of showing up on the Explorer Page
